This has been a small project of mine that took significantly longer than I expected. It began as a simple starter project for getting me into developing my own embedded systems on a fabricated PCB that I developed myself. It slowly became more and more complex as I added more and more features to the project.
At the center of the piece, features the pervasive ATmega328P, there are 10 blue 1206 LEDs arranged in a circular array.
The watch case was developed in Google SketchUp, and cast in silver using Shapeways.
There's recharging circuitry wired up in the watch that recharges the 400mAh Li-on battery inside.
My ChronosMEGA wrist watch took runner up place in the Full Spectrum Lasers Contest out of over 1100 entries.
